Googling it, The Democratic Convention is on 19th August, Doesn't give them long to get a replacement if Biden agrees to stand aside. Isn't there a 25th Ammendment? That can put the wheels in motion?
That works at Presidential level with the VP taking over.
It's not a party rule.
There are probably party rules where someone can be removed - misconduct etc. but this would be counterproductive in this case as it's not just Biden but all his current delegates that have to be won over.

Biden vows to carry on in a speech at a rally after his TV debate with Trump, I'd like to think that those in the Democratic Party have seen the headlines, Polls and Vox Pops from US citizens to raise enough concerns that if he stays the Dems will lose and lose heavily. Unfortunately unlike here, The US does not have the equivalent of the "Men in grey suits"

And so begins the damage limitation exercise. Trump must be really hoping it succeeds.

It's all down to Jill. She just loves being First Lady. It's her that'll be dragged out kicking and screaming. Sleepy hasn't a clue what's going on.

What I don't get though is this was all evident years ago. Why didn't they do something after say the Men on the Moon ramblings? Dementia never improves with time.

Or spiked his pre-debate drink with covfefe?
Let's face it, in the Joe v Don mentality light-weight bout, is there really any winner?

I think you are right about Jill.

As for why this has been allowed to go on it is as barmy as Trump being the challenger 🤷‍♂️

Biden is behaving like Jeremy Corbyn did in the autumn of 2019. Despite overwhelming evidence that his position as leader /candidate is doing his party irreparable harm and facilitating the election of a lying populist, he refuses to stand aside to let someone more capable attempt to avert disaster.
