Topic is not a biscuit.

I think that is right but a Penguin bar is a biscuit.

Isn't it a drinking hole for cute animals with a funny walk?

Hustings will take place in the Grecian Centre at St. James Park on Friday 1st November commencing at 19:00.

If you have any particular question it would help if you could e-mail them in advance, by Wednesday 30th October. This will enable us to send them to those candidates who might be unable to attend the hustings, thus giving them the opportunity to respond. The address is;

[email protected]

If possible, please make the subject line 'Hustings Question'.

This years Trust competitive Election unfortunately aligned to the 3 year tenure this highly competitive year will be followed by a semi competitive year to no election uncontested.

Would you consider re-standing next year or like Trustee Peter Holding standing on a bi-yearly so standing every two years not three.

He won re-election 3 years ago then stood last year so will be re-standing next year, would you as a candidate be willing to stand down after one or two year and let the membership re-vote for you on for your achievements.
I wasn't sure where to put this, but this situation was a result of the following Trust rule (rule 51) rather than Peter choosing to stand bi-annually:

"At the Annual General Meetings following the first Annual General Meeting of the Trust one third of the members of the Trust Board first elected by the members (to be chosen by lot) will resign from office. Thereafter one third of the members of the Trust Board elected by the members who have served the longest at the date of the Annual General Meeting each year will resign. If at any time there is an uneven number of elected directors or the number of elected directors is not divisible by three, the Trust Board shall decide the number of elected directors to resign in accordance with this Rule, which shall be approximately one third of the total number."

Essentially, to comply with this rule it was necessary for one of the existing Trustees to resign even though they weren't due for re-election in 2018. The Trust Board decided that although Paul Farley and Martin Weiler could also have resigned instead of Peter, as they only had a year remaining of their maximum nine year term, they could be exempt.
