Could our Friends on the Right explain why N Elphicke chose Labour rather than Reform to defect to? I hate to bring facts into the matter, but one thing you can say about Natalie is that she is not a centrist, despite what The Dangerous Brothers might tell us.
Given her past expressed views the Labour Party does not seem to be her natural home. If she thinks Sir Keith and Mrs “let them all in” Balls are going to stop the small boats she is seriously deluded.

A well timed defection to Reform doesn’t get you a future seat in the HoL perhaps? 🤷‍♂️

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
What a awkward looking get together between Starmer & Elphicke that was for the TV cameras.

When has Yvette Cooper said "let 'em all in"? Saying "refugees are welcome here" (which a lot of communities that have housed Ukrainians would agree with) is not the same as advocating unrestricted immigration.

Apologies for lowering the tone with facts again....

That's a long stretch!
Labour could have made a stronger statement by not accepting her. Disappointing and short-sighted. SKS may come to regret this decision.

Another one decides to quit:

Former chancellor Nadhim Zahawi has said he will stand down as an MP at the next election.

Alistair and a few others may remember the man who led Labour to victory in the 1981 GLC election. He was called Andrew McIntosh. Within 24 hours of winning he was replaced by someone called Ken Livingstone.

We live in hope....
