Need to see our new signings in action a few times before committing to this!

This all goes back to what I was saying to Ed the other day about picking a back three, do you pick it on what we know their individual capabilies are or whether you pick it on current form. As it stands, for me there are only three guaranteed selections.......... Vil in goal, Cole in midfield and Eisa up front. Past that, you could pick, choose, argue and re-do it all again and come up with a hundred choices.

One for @We8Argyle to ask on the pod as Question Master? Would be interested to hear Jon & David’s opinion on this.

Personally, (on paper as we haven’t seen people play) I’d pivot to a 4-3-3:

Sinasalo / 2nd Lee
Sweeney (RB) / No backup
Diabate (CB) / 2nd Aimson
Jules (CB) / 2nd Fitzwater
Purrington (LB) / 2nd Harper
Woods (DCM) / 2nd Carroll
Cole (CM) / 2nd Kite
Harris (CM) / 2nd Aitchison
Rankine (RW) / 2nd Niskanen
Mitchell (LW) / 2nd Alli
Eisa (ST) / 2nd Cox

If you had the 2nd XI play, you’d push Aitchson forward into a number 10 role… making it 4-2-3-1.

I’d be reluctant to play Pierce Sweeney at right back in a four.
He’s very good at right centre back in a three but I fear he’d be too exposed without the cover of another defender outside of him.
