David Moss was someone who went on to have a very good career, over a 100 goals I think
Yes,he scored 22 that season & had a good career at Luton after leaving.
The Grecians were 9th in the 3rd Division prior to that game, dropping to 12th.

Unusual program size.A4
I saw the Swindon v Luton cup match in January 1968. The programme's page size was tiny then.

40 years ago 30/10/1979..The Grecians Lost 0-2 to Liverpool at Anfield in the League Cup 4th round.

A commendable performance against the reigning League Champions who as was the norm back then played their full first team(as did the Grecians, unlike 2016 :D)

Kenny Dalgleish was replaced by David Fairclough after 60 mins, the ‘super sub’ then scored twice in the the last 20 mins.
A very commendable display against one of the best teams in Europe.
Long old day,In the Windsor Hotel Bar opposite St David’s Station At 1000.On the 1130 football special(one of two) Back in Exeter at 0400 the next morning, with a sore head from booze & a run in with some scallys after the game.

Our driver missed the turnoff coming home and we were in Coventry before the error was spotted

Likewise, save that my memory is unreliable! Remember the super sub sinking us though!
