Or we could have just made an inspection tomorrow morning as would have been most sensible and what has always been done in the past. You are right, it would have been far better to have made a decision without bothering to look or seek some informed advice. Now that's the way to run a club
And be liable for Tranmere's costs. Yeah, nice idea.Or we could have just made an inspection tomorrow morning as would have been most sensible and what has always been done in the past.
It was a complete waste of time as per usual. What costs would we have been liable for? We tell them we can't possibly know until tomorrow and we will make a decision then. And be liable for Tranmere's costs. Yeah, nice idea.
What if we could tell today that there was no way the pitch was going to be ready for tomorrow? Sit on this and let Tranmere fight their way down to Deb'n only to tell them tomorrow "sorry, no dice"?
As it is the decision is "optimistic" rather than definitive.
Exactly Jason. Some people on here beggar belief, they really do. Is it really THAT difficult to understand the logic of the process? And be liable for Tranmere's costs. Yeah, nice idea.

Ok then Mr clever, where is the logic in trying to work out if the ground is playable 30 hours beforehand. A lot can happen in that timescale.Exactly Jason. Some people on here beggar belief, they really do. Is it really THAT difficult to understand the logic of the process?
You can make a definitive decision to call the game off, though. Look at tomorrow's coupon - already several "P-P" there. This was the opportunity to make a definitive judgement not on "game on" but on "game off". As it is we are now thought to be possibly closer to "on" than "off".It was a complete waste of time as per usual. What costs would we have been liable for? Anyone with an ounce of common sense knew that it is impossible to make an accurate decison like this 30 hours before the game.
Some of us said that on here yesterday, some of you still claim it was a good idea.
How can "a quick look at the ground" lead to a definitive judgement?Ok then Mr clever, where is the logic in trying to work out if the ground is playable 30 hours beforehand. A lot can happen in that timescale.
If they are than insistent on it why make an announcement saying a pitch inspection is happening, why not just take a quick look at the ground and then call it off and then report it.
