Couldn't see many Truro "stalwarts" making it up to Torquay to be honest, there's a possibility that the two teams could be in the same league next season whether Torquay go down or Truro go up. If Truro were to go up and Torquay down that would be a funny old state of affairs eh?

Looks like they're about to be taken over by a gambling company http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35928605

Gaming International is a subsidiary of Toklon Limited http://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/private/snapshot.asp?privcapid=4480961
Neither Gaming International nor Toklon Limited seem to have a tremendously deep well of assets to fund a football club - https://companycheck.co.uk/company/05041914/TOKLON-LIMITED/financial-accounts & https://companycheck.co.uk/company/00263234/GAMING-INTERNATIONAL-LIMITED/financial-accounts

Still likely to be a marked improvement to the current situation but have to wonder how long term it is.

They are stadium operators: Poole, Reading and Swindon greyhound/speedway tracks, Milton Keynes Bowl.
Although they could be life-long supporters with the interests of the Club in their heart and "TUFC 4EVA" tattooed on their arm, I suspect they are interested in some development connected to the move away from Plainmoor.

The fact that the TUFC asks supporters to shut up until the takeover is stitched up (http://www.torquayunited.com//news/article/club-statement-chairmans-update-3032607.aspx) doesn't sound good.

Poor old Torquay, at the whim of the vultures.

Thank goodness for our Trust - whatever defects it might have.

Yes, and disconcertingly this is while the company taking over do due diligence on Torquay United. I just hope Torquay United have done adequate due diligence on the people taking over...

I tend to agree, imperfect as many things are with the club and it's many owners
