But they (Ukip) lost 2 council seats last night, 1 to Labour (Crawley) and 1 to Cons (Brightlingsea).
Ha! Perhaps showing that people quickly realise the error of their ways when the 'kippers are actually their representatives.

UKIP have a shocking record in Europe when it comes to attendance and expense claims.

Though the by-election for a councillor in my Borough was retained by Ukip. The previous unkipper had to resign his seat when he was convicted and given a suspended sentence for arson!

Spat out just like a typical Cameron Tory boy. If you're lot and Labour actually started looking after their own first and foremost then there wouldn't be a need for UKIP. If either actually walked the walk on immigration and social benefits then this country might actually get itself back up on it's feet. As many of you know, I deliver for Parcelforce. Until January I was a reserve driver which meant I covered for whoever was off so I got around and saw a fair amount of businesses mainly in and around the Somerset area. The amount of foreign nationals doing non skilled jobs that our bone idle layabouts could and should be doing is frightening. That's just in a sleepy backwater like Somerset. British unemployment and immigration are so tied together it's ridiculous. Can you imagine what it's like in the major cities?
Tory boys have talked about it but done bugger all so aren't an option. Labour are nothing more than a unionised version of the Tories these days so offer nothing different. Whether you like Nigel Farrage or not he is saying a lot of what normal, boots on the ground, working people want to hear. Whether he can deliver or not remains to be seen but UKIP can't be any worse than the tired old establishment.

Just to be clear, who do you blame for this? Is it:

  • The bone-idle layabouts
  • The Goverment or
  • The foreigners

Primarily the various governments (not just the current one) for doing bugger all about either issue and making staying at home a more viable option for the bone idle. And secondly, the bone idle for having such little self respect that they chose to live on hand outs. You can't blame Joe Foreigner for making the most of opportunity and trying to improve their own life styles when things are so poor in their own countries. Our layabouts should take a leaf out of their attitude.

This is a big winner for UKIP. The people are not stupid and realise unfettered immigration is not good for the country. For every nurse from overseas there is someone else able to milk the benefits system. We have a lovely chap at work who came over from Romania some years ago, he has had three kids born in the UK and currently receives £1400 per month in various benefits plus free health care. I don't blame him one bit, he is a result of successive UK governments and the EU.

You don't have to be a died in the wool racist to realise the economics don't add up and the money will run out to sustain institutions like the NHS if the situation doesn't change.

This has got bugger all to do with racism. Do you buy your next door neighbours shopping for the week? Almost certainly not. And even if you were that beneficial, wouldn't you make damn sure your own cupboards were fully stocked first. So why should the British government be looking after all and sundry before the people of their own nation first? Racism is the card that the Tories and Labour throw at UKIP every time because they know they've got no alternative come back.

Not really what they are about though is it, references to immigration and people on the dole always gets a few easy claps on the back, but they want us outside of the EU, all a bit reactionary, when it really comes down to it at a general election are the British public going to go for the uncertainty of that ?, we are not exactly a superpower these days are we

Nice to hear Isca, but being part of the EU undoubtably assists in that ?
