Ain't got it yet, 'cos its only out in the US so far, but:

Carnival of Sound - Jan & Dean.
The semi-legendary psychedelic masterpiece Jan Berry recorded in 1968, after the near fatal car crash which left him with severe asphasia. Never officially released before. On the bootleg versions a lot of it is very very strange (think late Monkees with an extra dose of wierdness - which fits, 'cos Davy Jones sings on some tracks).

Unusual for me as I regularly purchase new albums but so far in 2010 there hasn't been one that's tickled my fancy.

I didn't know OCS had a new one out, as of course these days they are virtually invisible. Last one was a real "return to form" so I'll have to check the new one when I have a bit of cash.

I've got one 2010 album so far - "Contra" by Vampire Weekend. First listens were very much "meh" but it has grown on me - still probably not as good as the eponymous debut but is very worthy all the same.
I agree, the Vampire Weekend debut album was the most eponymous thing I've heard in ages

Thanks in exile; I listened to Celtic Woman via their web site & you tube; now have songs from the heart; what beautiful songs from beautiful singers; gorgeous to listen to in the evening with a cup of tea and bar of chocolate; hubby was impressed too.

Sorry forgot to mention; love Gorillaz track Stylo; what's the rest of the album like?
