Fanny, we lease the ground so that is tantamount to temporary ownership. At the time of the granting of lease I would have thought that Ivor Doble would have been so pleased to secure it that he wouldn't have argued over the terms. I'm sure the City Council would have been sharp enough to ensure that we pay all insurance premiums and be directly responsible for repairs. After all, we have made significant repairs to the Old G over the years without contribution any from Exeter City Council! ECC of course own the Old G.Genuine question rightwing.
I thought the owner of the ground was a Exeter City Council. This being the case is it not their responsibility to carry out repairs and to be insured to do so. Why would it be down to City to maintain something which is not theirs?
I understand that the 3 stands are not owned by ECC so City meet the costs of maintaining them.
