Chiek is probably worth less than Pond given the age difference.

Chiek is a good player but he makes plenty of mistakes and is still learning the game.

He could well spend most of his career in L1 and L2.

I think you’re absolutely right. He’s been good enough to start for us IMO for at least a year, and would probably be our best CB right now. Fair play to Chieck for taking his chance but I always wondered how he got in ahead of Alfie at the time.
