And the away team - if we had cancelled now, Cambridge wouldn’t have travelled. I thought I remembered a home team having to pay the away team’s travel expenses in the case of a late postponement, but then I am very old and my memory is shocking…I'd argue that an early cancellation when the game could have been played is more costly, as revenue is lower on a Tuesday night, but I totally accept your point about inconvenience for the fans, especially travellers.
It’s not ‘no news’, it’s ’we are hopeful it’ll be on cos we are reasonably confident that the milder forecast will improve the bits we are worried about’.Basically no news and another inspection at lunchtime tomorrow. what a waste of time if trying to stop Cambridge having to travel down. makes absolutely zero sense.
You remember correctly re away team expenses. And the away team - if we had cancelled now, Cambridge wouldn’t have travelled. I thought I remembered a home team having to pay the away team’s travel expenses in the case of a late postponement, but then I am very old and my memory is shocking…
Same here.I wonder how many won't bother travelling now?! I'm on the fence.
