Almost certain wouldnt hold up in a court though Martin , I'm almost certain who actually shot JFK but cant do anything about it.
Think you're conflating two different things here.

If they're charged with a hate crime and end up in court it's of no relevance whatsoever whether they were or weren't City fans.

If the British Transport Police suggest to the club they were City fans and, that being the case, should be banned from SJP then that's entirely at the discretion of the club.

I was on the train and I am almost certain they were at the game. How they got through the turnstyles though is anyone's guess as they were wasted!
Templemeads opened the gates as they arrived I noticed.
There was plenty of chanting and drinking by that group but I didn’t see any trouble.

It should also be pointed out that the train was absolute packed, with barely room to even stand in the lobbies between the coaches.
Without checking timetables for that day, i think that it was also the first train back to Exeter after 1800, there may have been another but several were cancelled so not to sure. But with the number of 'civilised' Grecians on this train i suspect there was a very limited choice of options.

I was also on the same train in the next carriage and can guarantee that they were City fans. The group had arrived, wearing City colours and singing & chanting City songs, about 5 minutes before the train arrived. They had been on the train in the morning and were well 'oiled' by the time they got to Bristol. In the evening at BTM, unbeknown to them although the train arrived with 8 carriages it split at Bristol with only the forward 4 coaches going on to Exeter. The station staff had informed some of the passengers to head to the front 4 coaches if they wanted a better chance of getting a seat as the 'group' were stood ready to get onto the part of the train that was staying in Bristol and they, the station staff, were going to have to tell them, the group, the good news.
While i did not witness the incident, the fact that the Train Manager, a middle aged female and the only Cross Country rep onboard, apart from the driver, made the announcement to the whole train apologising for the lengthy delay at Taunton, citing 'fighting and bullying', asking those involved to cease what they were doing plus the distressed tone of her voice, and informing everyone that BTP had been requested to attend told other passengers just how serious she took the incident to have been.
Shirters causing trouble again :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I've been reading the comments on the article. I'm surprised nobody said this wouldn't happen with rugby fans.

If i had to agree with you we would both be wrong
Can a mod please start a moral outrage section on this forum please, seems to be every other week we have some sort of meltdown on here because someone said or did something bad/stupid/offensive.

I'm not condoning any of these people apparent actions but seems to me that some sections of our support are getting quicker and quicker to jump on there moral highhorse or looking to find things to be offended by so they can come out with the usual:
Someone was so offended recently by one of the security staff wearing a wait for it . . . . . . . . An Everton woolen hat !

I mean how dare someone wear such an offensive item.

Would.

I was on a train leaving Twickenham after a premiership final when some tw@ of a Sale fan pulled the cord when they got out at the first station.
