Re: So it could HAVE been Burnley at home!

If yesterday's result had been different, then history would have changed and today's draw would have been almost entirely different - we could have drawn absolutely anybody!!

We are out of the competition, so why even think about who we would have been playing??

You can't blame people for thinking what might have been. It's a bit masochistic but something football fans do!! It has cost us though. Apart from losing the money from not winning the game there's the gate money we would have collected (surely more than 6,500 if we got 5,700 against Millwall in midweek??) and TV money. Also might have stood a chance of being a live game as there aren't many other potential shocks in the draw.

On the other hand onwards and upwards......

Together We Are Stronger.
This reminds me a bit of Bullseye when Jim Bowen used to tell losing constestents "lets have a look what you could have won" and then showed the poor sods a slightly dodgy looking speedboat.

all ifs and buts. no point in beating ourselves up about it. still got a lot of football to play and looking forward to the rest of the season

If we had won then yes everything that followed would have been different because that is the law of cause and effect... it is almost inevitable that different balls would have been chosen. think about it.. to suggest otherwise is to say that all events are predetermined!

ergo, end of thread

Same ball, same bag, same girl, the team that it represented had no cause nor effect on the actions in that studio. ergo plenty to talk about.

Why is it the righteous always seem to want others to stop doing something ?

If we had won number 54 would still have been drawn out to play at home to Burnley. The only thing that us losing changed was that it was Mk's name assigned to 54 and not ours.

Anyhow, not really much of a glamour game. Leeds, Charlton, Southampton or Norwich have more appeal.

Guys, we need to put this behind us and move on, otherwise we'll be looking at the draw for Round 4 in a month's time and thinking that could've been us rather than MK or Burnley.

Burnley would have got me out of bed for the trip down to SJP, not so sure how many of the others would have.

Poult. If we had beaten franchise we would have drawn Forest Green away. I know this because I took a multi dimensional time trip and watched it happen. Funny thing was though, no matter how many dimensions i visited, argyle always go out in the 3rd round.
