There are always many problems for any nation, ignoring one, which swathes of the west seem to be doing re immigration will only highlight this further.Capitalism is not working as it should, because the inequality gap is getting wider and wider. EDIT: capitalism probably is working as it should, but our governance of it is not.
Those with the most money are looking to blame anything but their own wealth. Immigration is the obvious choice.
Despite my view on this, I'm not in total denial about how mass immigration can impact on communities. It's A problem, but not THE problem of our times.
Imagine, if a party said, we're stopping all non essential immigration. Then were elected. Then 200/300k immigrants were still arriving annually. This would force a change in the outlook of the nation, most likely to "retrofitting" the roles where these immigrants are required, or perhaps more importantly sorting out housing, or wages.
