I'm not sure the club have taken the right route in this case. Making him 'unavailable' for selection could be interpreted as pre-judgement of the accusation. If they had taken a neutral view until the case concluded and then taken the necessary action, it would probably had been better. If he is subsequently found innocent of whatever charges he is accused of, he is unlikely to feel predisposed to staying onboard with City..

Don't you start up with bleeding semantics Isca, suspended, not selected, whatever, the result is the same, he is not in the team. Until the court case happens, the only "sin" that he has definitely been guilty of, is being out on the p*$$ late at night. Footballers are young men, and history tells us those at Exeter City are no exception when it comes to having a "skinfull" on a night out. So effectively he is being punished, so how long should this go on for, whilst waiting for the law to get it's act together and a trial to take place. In effect the Club are deeming him guilty in the meantime.
Completely agree

Personally I would be happy for him to play for the club while this is ongoing. He is innocent until proven otherwise.
If moral outrage was directly linked to the results of our criminal justice system, a certain Mr McCormick (who'd served his time) would've had a very different reception from the Big Bank.

It seems like a calculated risk from the club.

Jevani will only be a City player for another 3 months either way. If we played him it would be controversial. And if he was found guilty it would be bad press for any club, but particularly one with our ownership and ethos.

Excluding him means we can prepare for next season without him and avoid any potential fall out.

He's still training with the club.
Wouldn't it be logical not to play him as he has other distractions on his mind.
When I went to nightclubs in the 70s (Tiffanys etc) there were always City players there.
Some notorious drinkers back in the day.

There is an increasing amount of supposition being posted on here at the minute, with various people questioning the decision of the club and debating the rights and wrongs of the process. To me this is unfair, as no-one posting on these boards has sufficient detail of what has happened, what has been said internally, or what has been identified through investigative scrutiny, to comment on the rights and wrongs of the decision. Those who think they do, clearly have no understanding of employment law, which incidentally, is different to criminal law.

Are you suggesting that there are "moral turpitude" or "bringing the Club into disrepute" clauses inserted into our player contracts ? The Club has issued a statement, so surely there is no reason that this cannot be commented on and debated in this forum ?

Debate is fine colesman. The problem is there are people reaching conclusions when itis plain they don't have the info to back up their conclusions.

Sorry, but IMHO Diabate (when fit) has the potential to be much finer than (Danny) Coles, man!

Even if he was selected during this period of uncertainty would you not question whether is mental state and mindset would be right to play, I feel not
