Sorry to see him go but can understand why he is going, too good to be a squad player. As for Motm today, I thought he was our third best central defender.

Hartridges main problem is his poor distribution. But generally he is a very good defender at this level, and has the advantage of being left footed. He also has the long throw in his armoury.

He’s been great for us over the years. Shame to see him go. I think those lapses will reduce and he will have a decent career ahead of him

Gutted by this. If we’ve chosen not to offer him a deal then questions need to be asked imo.

If he has rejected it then fair play, feel like it should be made known though. In the same way it was clear Sparkes was let go and Collins and key chose to go.

i think gc said they had offered him a new contract. agree though, we'll struggle to find better players than sparkes and hartridge on our budget

You can't blame anyone who has been at a club since they were very young for wanting to dip their toe in the water elsewhere. How many of us stay at the same place of work for 15 years?
I'm sure he will get a good club and wish him well.

not impossible. gc has made some great signings like cole and mitchell....both were gambles to a certain and they've paid off, plenty won't though

You pays your money and takes your chances. Look at Mo Eisa, he's got a decent record most everywhere he's been (bordering on ridiculous at Cheltenham) yet he has been one of the most disappointing signings, based against a realistic expectancy, we've had in a long, long time.
